New Delhi, May 17: Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has decided to meet the Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik to stake claim to form the government in the state. The development came a day after the Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala invited BJP’s Yeddyurappa to form government in the state. The party is expected to meet the Governor at 1 AM on Friday, May 18. “Party has decided that we’ll meet Guv at 1 pm tomorrow and demand that like BJP, the single largest party in Karnataka, was called to form the govt, similarly the current govt here be dissolved & the single largest party, RJD, be invited to form the govt,” Tejaswi Yadav told the reporters. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party was invited by the Karnataka Governor to form the government on grounds that it was the single largest party, then then RJD also had the right to form the government. “We will request the Bihar Governor to dismiss the state government and invite the RJD to form the government,” he said. On the time given to Yeddyurappa to prove majority, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader said, “How will BJP prove majority? Amit Shah has only one formula, horse-trading or sending agencies like CBI and ED behind MLAs of other parties. It’s dictatorship by BJP. If we aren’t united today then it was Bihar yesterday, Karnataka today, can be MP or Rajasthan tomorrow.”

It is not just RJD in Bihar. The Congress party on Thursday announced that it will stake claim to form the government in the state. This has come 15 months after the Goa Assembly Elections 2018. The party is likely to march 16 of its MLAs to the Raj Bhawan tomorrow.
“In 2017, we won 17 seats & were single largest party & continue to be but Governor chose to invite the BJP which had 13 seats. In Karnataka, Governor invited BJP as they are the single largest party. So, we appeal to Governor to invite us to form govt,” Yatish Naik, Congress, told ANI.
All India Congress Committee General Secy Ashok Gehlot on Thursday issued a letter requesting all Pradesh Congress Committees, leaders and workers to organise state-wide dharnas at state capitals and district HQs tomorrow to protest against K’taka Governor for inviting BS Yeddyurappa.
Launching another attack at Karnataka Vajubhai Vala, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala today said, “Vajubhai vala had sacrificed his seat for Narendra Modi earlier, yesterday he sacrificed Constitution and democracy for him. He conducted 1st encounter of Constitution yesterday when he invited BJP to form govt. Today when he swore-in BS Yeddyurappa, he conducted its 2nd encounter.”
