New Delhi: Speculations have been rife regarding the death of ND Tiwari’s son Rohit Shekhar. The Delhi Police on Tuesday told Zee News that presently three persons are under its radar: Rohit’s wife Apurva, driver Akhilesh and servant Golu. Delhi Police is also expected to reveal something huge, as per reports.
Rohit’s wife, who appears to be the prime suspect, used to live in a separate room but as per police sources, she had gone to her husband’s room on the day he died. During interrogation, Apurva confessed the same but said she had left the room after a few minutes. According to the probe, the police are now investigating the mark which was on Rohit’s neck but was ignored by the local police.
Police are currently waiting for some scientific report and will arrest the accused on the basis of that report. Only six persons were present inside the house when Rohit died. Out of those, three have been given a clean chit by the police. They are Rohit’s brother Siddharth, servant Golu’s wife and one more maid.
According to police, driver Akhilesh used to live on the same floor as Rohit. One room was occupied by Rohit, one by Apurva and the third room was given to Akhilesh. Rohit’s brother Sidharth used to live on the ground floor. The CCTV analysis shows that Sidharth did not go to the first floor on the day of the incident.
Rohit was brought dead to a hospital in the national capital on April 16. Confirming his demise, DCP South Delhi Vijay Kumar had issued a statement saying, “Rohit Shekhar Tiwari, son of late former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand CM ND Tiwari, has been brought dead to Max Saket hospital.”
