Chennai, Oct 24: The reports of Centre’s move to implement a three-language formula in Tamil Nadu has led to a row. After DMK Working President MK Stalin, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev has also come out against the “imposition of Hindi” in the state. “Imposing Hindi on Tamil Nadu will create unnecessary resistance and challenge the very idea of Republic of India,” he tweeted. Sadhguru Vasudev, the founder of Isha Foundation, also said that the very basis of division of states lies in linguistic differences and defeating that would trouble people of the very state. There have been reports that the E Palaniswamy government is considering a three-language policy in schools and colleges in Tamil Nadu, after consultation with the Centre.

Stalin has called the move “shocking” and said that he would not let that happen. The information about school education officers considering the recommendations of the Central Government’s NCERT officials about ‘3-language policy’ has revealed that the danger of onslaught of our mother tongue by hegemonic forces,” Stalin said as quoted by News18.
