Mumbai: Thespian Dilip Kumar‘s wife Saira Banu Khan has requested a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the release of builder Samir Bhojwani, against whom she had filed a complaint about claiming ownership of the two plots on which the actors’ bungalow was built. The bungalow is in the Pali Hill area of Bandra, Mumbai. (Also read: Dilip Kumar Takes Possession of Disputed Property)

Banu’s request has also been put up on Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter account. “Request from Saira Banu Khan: The Hon’ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi Sir, Land Mafia Samir Bhojwani released from jail. No action taken despite assurances by CM @Dev_Fadnavis. Padma Vibhushit betrayed, threatened by money and muscle power. Request meeting with you in #Mumbai,” it read.

Earlier this year, she had lodged a complaint against Bhojwani who had been arrested in a Rs 300 crore land grabbing case. Bhojwani was facing charges of usurping Kumar’s bungalow at Pali Hill and also of committing forgery to show ownership of two other pieces of land in the same area, one of which had late filmmaker Nasir Hussain’s bungalow, said reports.

The report of the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai police’s Crime Branch said they got information about the two properties after they sought information from the registration office at Old Customs House. The agency then sought a report from the regional registration office at Andheri and was told that there was a difference in the two sets of documents – one seized by them from Bhojwani’s office and the other set with the registration office.
