Jodhpur, January 18:  In a very important judgement, the sessions court of Jodhpur, will today pronounce its judgement on the long-standing Arms act case against Bollywood superstar, Salman Khan.

The case was lodged against the actor in  October 1998, when he was caught possessing as well as using, arms with expired licences to poach two blackbucks in the Kankani village of Jodhpur. It must be noted that blackbucks are protected animals under the Wildlife Protection Act and there poaching is illegal. He also has three poaching cases registered against him.

The actor was shooting the Hindi movie hum Saath Saath Hain when the incident took place. Khan has already served time in prison twice with respect to the case. Once in April 2006 and the second time in August 2007. Conviction in the case entails a maximum of seven years in jail.

The verdict will be doled out by Chief judicial magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit. On January 9th, the court had reserved its judgement after hearing arguments from both sides. Stay with us as we bring to you live updates from the judgment in the Salman Khan case.
