Jhansi: Samajwadi Party leader Ram Govind Chaudhari who suffered a heart attack on Sunday morning is currently under ventilator. As per Dr. PK Jain of Ram Raja Superficiality Hospital,  he will be sent to Delhi’s Medanta Hospital so that he gets better treatment.

Doctors who were attending on the SP leader said that his condition was serious. The leader was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) earlier in the day.

As per senior leader, Chaudhari would be transferred through an air ambulance from Jhansi to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital.  Chaudhari was in Jhansi on Saturday to go to Madhya Pradesh for Assembly Election 2018. He was staying at the residence of a senior SP leader and was rushed to the hospital after he complained of a chest pain.

Earlier, during the monsoon session of the state assembly, Chaudhari had suffered a mild attack during his speech in the House.

A three-time MLA from different seats in Ballia district, Chaudhari was the minister in the previous Akhilesh Yadav government. He was a close associate of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar.
