New Delhi: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Sunday came down heavily on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his ‘danda remark’ on PM Narendra Modi and said the Congress leader should be sent to a ‘political playschool’ so that he can learn decency and language etiquettes.
“The Congress leaders walk around with an axe in their hands and hit their own foot with it every time they get a chance. I want to give a piece of advice to Congress leaders, especially Sonia Gandhi, to send her ‘pappuji’ to a political playschool so that he can learn the ABCD of politics, dignity, decency and language etiquettes,” he said.
He said this while addressing a gathering in Madhya Pradesh. Further slamming Rahul Gandhi, the Union Minister said that no one with the right mental balance would talk about hitting a prime minister who is elected by the public.
The statement from the Union Minister came after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently during a rally had said that youth of the country will hit PM Modi with sticks if he is not able to address the issue of unemployment.
“The Prime Minister is delivering speeches now, but six months later, he will not be able to even leave his home. The youth of India will beat him up with sticks and make him understand that this country will not be able to make progress until jobs are provided to them,” Rahul had said.
Apart from Naqvi, PM Modi himself had slammed Rahul Gandhi for his remark and said he is protected by the blessings of all mothers of India.
“At times some leaders talk about beating me with sticks, but I’m saved by the blessings of all mothers of India. I pay my respects and thank all of you. I am here to instill a new belief in all Assamese people,” he had said while addressing a public rally in Kokrajhar.
