Delhi Red Fort Blast case: A cache of incriminating material, including posters and literature of a banned separatist outfit, was seized by the Jammu and Kashmir Police during a search in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, barely a month after the cops had exposed the 'white-collar' terror module linked to the Delhi Red Fort Blast case, while investigating posters of the proscribed Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

What was seized in Pulwama?

According to the police, acting on a search warrant issued by the NIA Court Pulwama in a case registered under the UAP Act, it carried out a search at a shop belonging to Mohamed Amir Rather, a resident of Litter Pulwama.

The search was carried conducted in the presence of a magistrate and independent witnesses to ensure complete transparency and due process, police said, adding incriminating material, including posters of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) headed by the incarcerated Shabir Shah and banned literature books were recovered from premises of the accused.

"The seized items have been taken into custody for detailed scrutiny, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the broader dimensions of the case and verify any additional connections linked to the seized material," they added.

Is the recovery linked to the Delhi blast case?

As per the police, the seizure is linked to jailed separatist leader Shabir Shah's banned Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, and prima facie there is no evidence that the case is linked to the 'white collar' terror module and the November 10 Delhi Red Fort blast.

Earlier, the Srinagar Police had uncovered an insidious terror plot while investigating a case related to putting up posters supporting the JeM in Srinagar, which had led to the arrest of Dr Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, a native of Pulwama. Ganaie's arrest led to the busting of the 'white collar' terror module at the Al Falah University in Faridabad.

The investigation led to the unravelling of the inter-state terror network spanning Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. after CCTV footage showed Ganaie along with some others involved in the act of putting up posters on walls in October.

On November 10, a white Hyundai i20, reportedly driven by Dr Umar-un-Nabi, a Kashmir-based doctor, exploded at a traffic signal near Delhi's Red Fort, leaving 15 people dead and injuring several others.

Hours earlier, authorities had busted busted a inter-state "white-collar" terror module with links to terrorist outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, which spanned across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. They seized 2,900 kilograms of explosive substances and arrested eight people, including three doctors linked to Al Falah University.
