Seven-year-old Girl Raped, Murdered at Maharashtra’s Pimpri-Chinchwad; Accused Allegedly Commits Suicide

The officer said that the accused allegedly committed suicide when police tried to track him.

Pimpri-Chinchwad: A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered at Pimpri-Chinchwad in Maharashtra on Tuesday. Police said that the accused allegedly committed suicide when they tried to track him.

Senior police officer, Smartana Patil said, “We received a call that a body has been brought to the hospital on Tuesday. The girl was declared dead and rape was suspected.”

“During the investigation, it was found that a man had threatened the mother of the victim a day before the incident. When we tried to track the accused, we found him hanging in a forest, he allegedly committed suicide,” said Patil.

On Tuesday, a 16-year-old Dalit girl was allegedly raped by a man at a private school in a village in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. The main accused, Azim Khan and two school teachers, who allegedly helped Khan in committing the offence, were arrested after the incident that took place on Sunday, Chhapiheda police station in-charge Sangita Solanki said.

The same day, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in Uttar Pradesh’s Hompur village in Balrampur district.
