Muraina, Nov 24: In a shameful incident, an Army jawan was beaten up by Madhya Pradesh police after he opposed favouritism while standing in line outside a bank. The Army jawan was standing in queue outside a bank to exchange scrapped notes when he indulged in an argument with police. As many as seven policemen thrashed jawan mercilessly. The video of the shameful incident has gone viral on social media with people reacting sharply on the violent and arrogant behaviour of the Madhya Pradesh police with Army jawan.
According to a portal Inkhabar, Army jawan arrived at a bank to exchange old notes. The jawan wanted to buy some stuff for a ritual after demise of his brother. While the jawan was standing in queue outside the bank, police present their allegedly allowed their friend to break the line and go inside the bank. When the jawan objected the favouritism shown by police, they beat him.
In the viral video, Madhya Pradesh police is seen dragging the jawan out of the queue and thrashing him mercilessly. Social media is flooded with tweets seeking action against cops who humiliated Army jawan. Hundreds of thousands of people were forced to stand in long queues outside banks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. Complains of favouritism are coming from several parts of the country where common man is facing the brunt of the demonetisation move, while the rich are able to get their work done using money power.
