New Delhi, April 27: Indrani Mukerjea, who is undergoing trial for allegedly murdering her daughter Sheena Bora has sought a divorce from her husband Edith Dey has reportedly sent a notice via courier on April 25. “My client states that your marriage is now irretrievably broken down and there is no chance of reconciliation. However, this is not the first time the couple has sought divorce. Earlier in 2016, Mukerjea’s lawyer while speaking to reporters had said that his client was keen to divorce Indrani. Mukerjea has been lodged in Mumbai’s Byculla jail for killing her daughter, Sheena Bora. 24-year-old Sheena was abducted and killed on April 24, 2012, allegedly over a financial dispute, and her body was disposed of in a forest in adjoining Raigad district.

Indrani and her former husband Sanjeev Khanna were arrested in August 2015 along with her former driver Shyamvar Rai, while Indrani’s present husband Peter Mukerjea was nabbed in November the same year.
