Mumbai, Nov 8: Maharashtra based political outfit Shiv Sena took potshot at coalition partner in state Bharatiya Janata Party for being defeated by the Mahagathbandhan in the Bihar assembly elections. The Hindutva partner of BJP congratulated the reigning chief minister Nitish Kumar for his impressive performance. Hours after the trends highlighted the loss of NDA in Bihar, Shiv Sena released an official statement congratulating the Janata Dal (United) leader and calling him the “political hero” of Bihar. (ALSO READ: Bihar Election Results 2015 Live Updates))

Sena, itself contested on all 243 constituencies in Bihar. However, it was almost a non-existent force in the state. The far-right party recently shares a shaky relationship with the BJP. Although, it is part of the NDA at Centre and the BJP-led ruling coalition in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena has exhibited a rebellious attitude on numerous occasions. (ALSO READ: Bihar Assembly Election Results 2015 Live Streaming- Watch Live telecast)

“This is a big victory for Nitish Kumar. He has emerged as a ‘political hero’,” said Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut further advising Prime Minister Narendra Modi to introspect on the lackluster performance of his regime at Centre.

Following the defeat of BJP in Delhi Assembly Elections, Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray congratulated Arvind Kejriwal attributing the loss directly to the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
