Bargarh (Odisha), February 20: Shoes were thrown towards Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bargarh while he was addressing public. The shoes did not hit the Chief Minister.
Patnaik’s personal security officers, however, parried the blow and he was taken to safety.
The culprit was caught and he was thrashed by the crowd.

In January, a woman threw eggs at Patnaik during an event in Balasore. The eggs flew past him and hit some other people before falling near the podium, police said.\

The attack took place during the inauguration of Talsari beach festival under Bhograi block in Balasore district. Local MLA and Higher Education Minister Anant Das, Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda and Korei MLA Akash Das Nayak were also present at the event.
The woman, identified as the wife of a BJP activist, threw eggs targeting Patnaik to protest against the detention of her husband ahead of the Chief Minister’s arrival in the district.
