Constituency-wise Karnataka Election Results 2018: Counting of votes for Sindgi, Afzalpur, Jevargi, Nagthan and Indi election results 2018 will be held today. 222 seats of Karnataka Assembly seats, including Sindgi, Afzalpur, Jevargi, Nagthan and Indi went to polls on May 12. In Sindgi Vidhan Sabha seat, BJP’s current MLA Bhusanur Ramesh Baiappa contested against Mallanna Niganna Sali of the Congress. Afzalpur Assembly seat saw an electoral fight between M Y Patil of the Congress and the BJP’s Malikayya Guttedar. Malii Ayya Venkayya Guttedar of the Congress had won the seat in 2013 Karnataka polls. To retain Jevargi seat, the Congress pitted incumbent MLA Ajay Dharam Singh against Doddappagowda S Patil Naribol of the BJP.
In Nagthan Assembly seat, the electoral contest is between Katakadond Vittal Dondiba of the Congress and the BJP’s Gopal Govind Karjol. The seat was won by Raju Alagur of the Congress in 2013 Karnataka elections. Incumbent MLA Yashvanthraygouda V Patil of the Congress contested against the BJP’s Dayasagar Patil in Indi Assembly seat. The Siddaramaiah-led state is witnessing a triangular contest between the Congress, BJP and Janata Dal (S).
