Sindh not a part of India makes me sad: LK Advani

New Delhi, Apr 10: Speaking at the India Foundation Awareness programme in Delhi, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani spoke about his birthplace Sindh and said that he feels sad that Sindh is not a part of India. The 89-year-old leader without taking any name said that he will be happy if India’s relations improve with few countries in Asia.

Speaking in the presence of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Advani remembered his childhood days and said that, “A part of India, where I was born before partition was separated after India’s independence. The fact that Sindh is not part of India today makes me sad.”

This is not the first time when the BJP patriarch has spoke about Sindh and Lahore. Speaking at the 48th ascension anniversary of spiritual leader Pita Shri Brahma, the founder of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwarya Vishwa Vidyalaya in January, Advani had said that, “At times I feel sad that Karachi and Sindh are not parts of India anymore. I was very active in RSS during my childhood days in Sindh. It is a matter of dismay. I believe that India appears incomplete without Sindh.”

The senior BJP leader has previously also praised about Karachi, the capital of Pakistani province. Lal Krishna Advani was born in a Sindhi family in Sindh and the family moved to India after partition.
