Singer Abhijeet is a famous name which doesn’t actually needs to be introduced. However, this time the singer has made into news for other than his singing stint. Abhijeet who is quite active in expressing his opinions on Twitter, a micro-blogging site has above 90 thousand followers. A follower base of that amount, simply indicates whatever he tweets reaches to a good amount of people. But singer Abhijeet seems to lack the responsibility and has shown ludicrous on more than one occasion.
Abhijeet came to terms with the consequences of abusing and shaming two individuals on twitter, one of them was female. Delhi-based senior journalist Swati Chaturvedi, filed complaint against Abhijeet after Mumbai Police informed her to report a zero FIR with Delhi Police, which was later transferred to Mumbai Police Station, where Abhijeet resides. The process was not easy for Swati, as Delhi Police seemed reluctant to do so at first. The singer on a different ocassion, also posted tweets which allegedly spread communal hatred.

The singer was arrested by Mumbai Police, after the FIR was transfered to Mumbai Police. Justice was finally served to Swati and Abhijeet was bailed out later.
Social media, when incepted with a purpose of connecting people around the world. But in current times social media, is just not used for connecting, but extensively used by authorities and officials as well. Also, it is of common knowledge, where there is good, bad comes along too. Social media may have lot of pros, but there are plenty of cons to it too. Trolling, cyber harassment, shaming takes place more than often now. In certain instances, things go haywire and cause much harm to someones dignity than thought. Strict rules are made but implementing them sometimes become tough, and one of the major reason is anonymity in many cases. Anonymity and censorship flaws leaves on the other end victims abused, shamed and trolled.
In hostile situations like this, a justice of this sort which has been should be welcomed and sets a perfect example to be looked upon.
