Valsad, Jan 21: Six people have been killed after a car collided with a tempo in Gujarat’s Valsad area on Thursday night. The images tweeted by ANI show that the car has been badly smashed by the collision. As per reports, the accident took place on National Highway 8, Valsad (Gujarat). Authorities in Valsad are looking into the matter and relief worker is being undertaken. ANI reports claim that out of the six dead, two of them were NRIs.

On January 19, over 20 school-going children between age of 3 and 15 were killed in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh after their school bus hit by a speeding lorry. Over a dozen students were injured in the deadly accident. As per reports, the bus was going to JS Vidyaniketan School with 60 children on board. The driver of the bus was also killed in the crash. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav offered condolences and directed district officials to look into the matter.
As per report by NDTV, more than 400 children were killed in school bus related incidents in the year 2015 alone while more than thousands have been killed in road related accidents. According to data from the National Crime Records Bureau, 15,633 children were killed in road accidents across India in 2015. This figure is nearly 7 times more deaths caused due to road accidents than crimes against children like murder and foeticide.
