New Delhi, Jan 16: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Sunday speaking at the Army Day Parade held in the national capital asked soldiers to not to use the social media platform for complaints also warned them of a strict action if proper procedure is not followed in filing complaints.
Recently, jawans used the social media platform to address their problems, which triggered a controversy, however, it did not go down will with the new army chief and Rawat in this regard said that a proper channel has to be followed to resolve issues. The Army chief also stated that “if a soldier is not satisfied with the authorised forum then he can knock on his door for any issues.” The head of army further stated that soldier’s identity would be kept secret.
Rawat on Friday had said that soldiers will now have access to complaint box at Army Headquarters, followed by various Command Headquarters and lower formations.
On Border related issues Rawat further stated,“we want peace on the border. But any attempt to disrupt the peace will not be tolerated. Our attempts to establish peace at the border should not be seen as a weakness.”
