Winter Session: Union Minister JP Nadda, speaking in the Rajya Sabha, on Monday demanded a public apology from veteran Congress leader Sonia Gandhi over her remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi made by the grand old party’s leaders. He said, “Sonia Gandhi ji should apologise to the nation for slogans raised against PM Modi in the Congress rally yesterday. In the Congress rally yesterday, slogans were raised against PM Modi. This shows the Congress party’s thinking and mentality. Saying such things against a Prime Minister is condemnable. Sonia Gandhi ji should apologise to the nation for this,” Nadda said.

Meanwhile, in the Lok Sabha, Kiren Rijiju stated on Sunday, at a Congress rally, some leaders raised slogans to dig up PM Modi’s grave. He termed it a very sad time for India that the grand old party uses such words. “Several veteran Congress leaders were present at the rally and slogans were raised to dig up PM Modi’s grave,” Rijiju said.

Rijiju said, “Yesterday, at a Congress rally, there was talk of digging Prime Minister Modi’s grave. It is very sad for this country that the Congress party uses such words. The entire Congress party…the entire leadership was present at that rally and they raised the slogan of digging Prime Minister Modi’s grave.”

On Sunday, top Congress leaders attended the “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhodo” rally held in the Delhi against alleged electoral irregularities, targeted the BJP and the Election Commissioners.

The leaders alleged that vote theft is in BJP’s DNA, saying that the saffron party leaders are traitors who are conspiring to snatch people’s voting rights. The demanded to remove BJP from power.

During the rally, a female Congress leader used abusive language against PM Modi. This has ignited a political debate and stringent response from BJP leaders.
