Kolkata, May 10: In a major revelation in the death case of model Sonika Chauhan, actor Vikram Chatterjee has admitted that he had drank alcohol on the day of accident. However, he also claimed that he drank within limits and was sober while driving. According to a media report, during the police interrogation, he also asserted that he was not intoxicated. Earlier on Tuesday, the actor was questioned by the police for about two hours. The Kolkata police has formed a four-member special investigation team and a second forensic test has been completed on the car involved in the accident.
Meanwhile, actor Anindya Chatterjee, who had gone for questioning, has been quoted by CNN-News18 as saying that he will cooperate completely with the investigation. Till now, he has also maintained that Vikram was drunk on the night of the accident – something the actor has been denying.
Actor-model Sonika Chauhan was killed in a road accident on April 29 whereas, actor Vikram Chatterjee was seriously injured when the SUV in which they were travelling met with an accident in south Kolkata.
