New Delhi, May 15: Sorab, Sagar, Byndoor, Kundapura And Udupi constituencies in Karnataka went to polls on May 12. The results of these constituencies will be declared on Tuesday. The counting will start at 8 AM and the first trends are expected to be out by 8.30 am. The main contenders in these constituencies are BJP, Congress and Janata Dal Secular. All about the constituencies: 

Constituency number 116 Sorab saw a battle between S Kumara Bangarappa (BJP), Raju. M. Talluru (Congress), S.Madhu Bangarappa (JDS), Asadulla.T.K (Asood) (AIMEP), H.B.Gangadharappa (Swaraj India). In Sagar, five main contenders were in fray including H Halappa (BJP), Kagodu Thimmappa (INC), M B Girishgowda (JDS), Kalavathi (AIMEP) and Parameshwara (Swaraj India).

In Byndoor Vidhan Sabha seat there was a tough fight between the Congress, BJP and some independent candidates. BM Sukumar Shetty (BJP), K Gopala Poojary (INC), Suresh Kallagar (CPM), Ravi Shetty (JDs), Abdul Hajeed (AIMEP) were some of the heavyweights contesting from Pynthorumkhrah.  In Kundapura assembly constituency BJP’s Halady Srinivas Shetty, INC’s Rakesh Malli, JD(S)’ Thekkatte Prakash Shetty, JD(U)’s Rajiv Kotian and RPI(A) Sudhakara Soorgoli were in fray. Presently, the seat is vacant.Udupi, constituency number 120 saw a tough fight between BJP’s K Raghupathi Bhat, Congress’ Pramod Madhwaraj and JD(S)’ Birthi Gangandhar Bhandary
