Rahul Gandhi also accused the Prime Minister of robbing people who earned money with medium and small businesses. “He (PM Modi) only talks to suit boot wale bade businessmen. You robbed them who earned money with medium and small businesses. It’s a reality that you can’t change. You go and help bigwigs, but when it comes to poor, you fail to do anything,” Rahul claimed. He had also hit out at the government over its Demonetisation policy and Goods and Services Tax reforms saying, “At 8 pm the PM decided to act against black money and announced demonetisation. When I was in Surat, farmers, labourers, small traders told me, demonetisation imposed by PM Modi affected them the most. You did not stop with demonetisation and came up with GST.  Congress wanted a single rate of GST. But you came up with multiple rates, you raided small traders and made life hell for them.”

Attacking the Centre over the Rafale Deal, Rahul in Lok Sabha had said, “Government claimed that there is secrecy pact with France on Rafale deal. I personally met PM of France and asked him if any such pact existed, he clearly said there is no pact.”
