Srinagar: Two young children— aged 8-month-old and 7-years-old respectively– from Srinagar was tested positive on Thursday. Notably, they are the grandchildren of a 65-year-old who died in Srinagar after being tested positive for the virus. “Two more positive cases in Srinagar. Siblings (7 years old and 8 months old)- grandchildren of a confirmed case from Srinagar with travel history to Saudi Arabia who had tested positive on 24th. Total number of active positive cases now 11,” government spokesperson Rohit Kansal said in a tweet.
This comes days after the child’s grandfather, who had a travel history to Saudi Arabia, was tested positive for the COVID-19 infection on March 24.
Jammu and Kashmir has reported a total of 13 cases of Coronavirus infection so far.
