Vishakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu Thursday upped the ante and blamed Modi government for indulging in dirty politics. Accusing the centre of plotting all the drama, Naidu said that the government was trying to threaten their government. He further said, “Jagan Reddy should have complained to the police. “
He had earlier questioned the Centre as to who was responsible for the attack which took place on YSRCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy at the Vishakhapatnam airport. Naidu said that state government would have been responsible for the incident but since the airport came under the Central government, it is the government’s onus to investigate it.
Naidu said, “If the incident took place outside the airport then it might have been the responsibility of state govt but airport comes under the central govt. Then who is responsible?”
The Andhra CM further said that the injured person, (the YSRCP leader) immediately left for Hyderabad so how can the investigation be done in the neighbouring state even. He added that the attacker had written a letter against the state government and had erected flexes as a fan (of Jaganmohan Reddy), so what can be deciphered from the entire situation.
YSRCP leader Jaganmohan Reddy was stabbed in the arm by a waiter at the Vishakhapatnam Airport earlier today and later informed people that he safe and sound. Reddy was being treated at the Omega Hospital. Reddy had tweeted, “To everyone worried about my safety, I’d like to inform you that I am safe. God’s grace & love, concern & blessings of people of Andhra will protect me. Such cowardice acts will not dissuade me but only strengthen my resolve to work for the people of my state.”
Reportedly, Reddy was on his way to Hyderabad when the unidentified assailant posing as the leader’s supporter, attacked the former on the pretext of taking a selfie with him.
The attacker was immediately detained at the airport by the police. Reddy suffered a minor injury on his left arm and was given first aid at the airport. As per media reports, police said that the accused had told that he attacked Reddy as he did want him to come to power.
