The sudden change of weather was witnessed at 4 PM today as a sun-laden day suddenly became cloudy in Delhi as well as in Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad. Heavy storm lashed the cities, with a drizzle also being witnessed in certain areas.

The Indian Meterological Department (IMD) had already forecast rains in Delhi-NCR, where temepratures suddenly came down after today’s storm and drizzle. However, with the city already under a lockdown along with the rest of the country due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the change in weather is unlikely to have any impact on the daily life.

This is the first spell of rain that the national capital has witnessed in nearly two weeks. On March 6, too, rains had lashed the national capital, triggering jams and waterlogging in various parts of the city.
