Chandigarh, Nov 29: Suraj Pal Amu, who resigned from the post of Haryana Chief Media Coordinator of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stoked another controversy on Wednesday and said that he wants to slap National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah. Speaking to ANI, he said, “Now my dream is to slap Farooq Abdullah on Lal Chowk, I challenge him to meet me there.”

On November 29, the National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah courted another controversy by daring Narendra Modi-led government to unfurl the tricolour at Lal Chowk in Jammu Kashmir’s Srinagar. “They are talking of raising flag at PoK. I ask them, first you go and raise the Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. They can’t even do that here and they are talking about PoK,” Times Now quoted him as saying.

Farooq Abdullah, earlier on November 11, had stirred controversy by saying that the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir belongs to Pakistan and this wont change no matter how many wars India and Pakistan fight.

Amu, who had threatened Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali over Padmavati row, resigned as the media coordinator of Haryana BJP. “With a heavy heart I have resigned from the post I had in BJP. I am pained at the behaviour of Haryana CM. I have never seen a BJP CM so arrogant who doesn’t respect party workers and community representatives,” he had said.

The leader, on Tuesday, even lashed out at Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for not meeting the members of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena even after giving an appointment, in connection with the ‘Padamavati’ row. The leader also attacked the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee for extending her support to Padmavati and reminded her the treatment meted out to mythological character ‘Shupranakha’ by ‘Laxman’. He called Mamata a woman with ‘devilish traits’.
