Ahmedabad: A man has accused his estranged wife of tying up their four-year-old child and sending the video of the incident to him in order to extort money.

The man, identified as Radheshyam Jaiswal from Surat, also alleged that his wife used to beat up their son on a regular basis. He also stated that this is not the first time that she had sent him such a video. The woman has been identified as Varsha.

The couple got married five years ago and separated when their son was just six months old, Jaiswal was quoted as saying in a media report.

He claimed that if he fails to fall for her extortion bid and do not pay her, then she calls up the police control room and registers a fake complaint against him.

The most recent video was sent to him about four days back, a report claimed.

The man has been running from pillar to post to get an FIR registered against his estranged wife. He first went to the Limbayat police station but as the video was shot at the woman’s house in Surat, the police asked him to reach out to the Dindoli police in Surat city.

Meanwhile, the police have not registered an FIR. A team will first check the facts and verify the video sent by her, following which a complaint will be registered.
