New Delhi, Jan 27: A day after, the Indian Air Force (IAF) shot down an unidentified balloon originating from Pakistan, another suspicious object is seen flying in aerial region of Gurgaon. Delhi Police has issued an alert in the National Capital Region (NCR). IAF has been alerted about the presence of the suspicious balloon in Gurgaon. The object was first spotted by Gurgaon Police which subsequently informed the Delhi Airport authorities. This is the second case of suspicious balloon broke out in the past two days. Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar issued a stern warning to Pakistan earlier in the day after it was revealed that the balloon shot down in Barmer on Tuesday originated from the neighbouring nation. In the past week, an alert was also issued in Maharashtra, after 6 paragliders were spotted off the coast of Mumbai despite paragliding been banned in the region. Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has launched a manhunt for the paragliders.
According to apprehended terrorist Abu Jindal, extremist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba had procured 50 paragliders from Europe between 2010 to 2012, in order to train its cadres of launching aerial terror strikes.
