Sevices of KSRTC will remain suspended during the Tamil Nadu Bandh as no bus will move from Karnataka to the state in day time. Although the KSRTC has decided that it will not provide bus services in the daytime in Tamil Nadu, it is yet to decide if it will run buses in the evening. “Opposition parties have called for a dawn-to-dusk bandh. We don’t want to take chances as protesters might target vehicles from Karnataka during the protest. We are suspending all morning services” said a KSRTC source.
A source from KSRTC told Deccan Chronicle: “Based on the development, we will take a decision whether to resume the night service or not. If the protest takes a violent turn, we may be forced to cancel the night services too.” Tamil Nadu Omni Bus Owners Association is expected to run only 15 per cent of its fleet in the daytime. There is no confirmation if the Omnibuses will operate in the evening.
