New Delhi: In a yet another incident, a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) worker along with his another friend thrashed a mobile phone repair shop owner in Tamil Nadu. The incident took place in Tiruvannamalai. Police have arrested them.
According to TimesNow report, the DMK worker had given a mobile phone charger for repairing. He was not happy with the service provided by the shopkeeper due to which an altercation broke out.
The whole incident was captured on CCTV and is going viral on the social media. In the video, it can be seen that DMK worker and his friend are entering the shop. One of them suddenly pushes the shopkeeper while another man tries to stop him. DMK worker is also joined by his friend, who was also seen beating both the employees in the shop. The fight was stopped when the third person intervened.
However, both the accused managed to flee the spot. The DMK worker has been identified as Ragupathy, member of DMK’s youth wing and his aide Ganesh. In the fight, the shopkeeper was seriously injured in the assault.
A similar incident was reported from Chennai last month. DMK worker and others went to Salem RR Anbu Biryani restaurant at Virugabakkam. Soon a scuffle broke out after the staff informed them that the shop has been closed and they cannot serve Biryani. Yuvraj along with others had thrashed the hotel staff. Two people were hospitalised with injuries, while a case was registered against them.
Following the incident, DMK had suspended them after a video went viral featuring the two beating up a restaurant staff in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
