Tamil Nadu Horror: A horrific murder mystery surfaced in Tamil Nadu, where a dismembered body of a woman was recovered from rooftop water tanks of two houses in Salem district’s Gunabalan Street. The crime came to light after residents in Arisipalayam noticed a foul smell in the water. Ramesh, a priest, and his son checked the water tank and found a bag filled with human body parts. They immediately called the police, who recovered another bag from the roof of a neighbouring house.
Cops arrested three people in connection with the case.
According to investigators, the dismembered body was that of a woman aged between 35 and 40 years. The accused chopped the body into parts, packed the remains in bags, and hid them inside the water tanks.
Cops sent the remains to the district government hospital for a postmortem.
Investigators suspected that the killing was done for financial gain, as the jewellery on the victim’s body was missing. The remains were concealed in water tanks, as the densely populated locality made it difficult for the accused to transport the body without being noticed.
“After committing the murder, the suspects could not move the body parts because the area is densely populated. Fearing they might be seen, the bodies were kept in the overhead water tank,” a police officer told Hindustan Times.
Forensic experts have collected evidence from the site and are examining it. Police are trying to identify the victim, motive and the circumstances surrounding the killing.
Further investigation is underway.
In a separate case, 38-year-old Hayathun Nisha was killed in Manipur. Police arrested a couple in connection with the case. The victim was identified as 38-year-old Hayathun Nisha. Police said that the victim’s dismembered remains were found in a suitcase on a Delhi-bound train. Cops traced the suspects using CCTV footage and other evidence.
Both cases are under investigation.
