New Delhi: Popular Bengali actor and former Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Tapas Pal passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday. Reports claimed that Pal was suffering from various ailments and was undergoing treatment in Mumbai. He was 61. Born on September 29, 1958, Pal started his career at the age of 22. He came to limelight in 1980 with the release of his debut film Dadar Kirti . He was awarded the Filmfare Award for his role in Saheb. He had also worked in Bollywood films.
