New Delhi, Feb 28: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had a narrow escape on Tuesday when a bag kept inside the helicopter he was in caught fire moments before take off. According to reports, smoke was detected from a bag containing a very high frequency communication inside the chopper which was preparing to fly KCR.

Security personnel present at the site immediately swung into action and removed the bag from the helicopter averting any tragedy. No injury was reported to anyone in the incident which took place at Karimnagar where KCR attended a government function. The chopper later took off safely with the CM.
