The constituency of Ibrahimpatnam is a part of Telangana’s Rangareddy district. Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) Manchireddy Kishan Reddy defeated Malreddy Ramreddy (Independent) in the 2014 Assembly elections by a margin of 11,000 votes.

-Nakrekal, Chirumarthy Lingaiah of Congress beats Vemula Veeresham of TRS.
-Alair, Gongidi Suneetha of TRS beats Budidah Bikshamaiah of Congress.
-Jangaon, Muthireddy Yadagidi Reddy of Congress beats Sanampudi Saidireddy of TRS.
The candidate for the 2018 elections from BJP is Ashok Kotha, from TDP is Sama Ranga Reddy, from TRS is Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, and from BSP is Malreddy Ranga Reddy. Munugode Isone of the six Assembly constituencies in Telangana’s Nalgonda district, and also a part of Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency. The Congress has fielded Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy against the sitting TRS MLA Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy in the 2018 Munugode Assembly elections. Also, in the contest is the BJP’s Gangidi Manohar Reddy.
Muslim voters are a decisive factor in 53 assembly seats of rural Telangana districts if one goes by the registered electorate in the Bhuvangiri constituencies. The 2018 Nakrekal Assembly elections will see a repeat contest between sitting Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA Vemula Veeresham and Chirumarthy Lingaiah, the Congress runner-up from 2014 who lost by a slender margin of 2,370 votes in the last Assembly polls.
The Thungathurthi assembly constituency (SC) in the undivided Nalgonda district was host to a close contest between the TRS’s Gadari Kishore and the Congress’s Addanki Dayakar. Meanwhile, the Alair assembly constituency (SC) in the undivided Nalgonda district was one among the many constituencies which were swept away in the Telangana wave in 2014.
