Terror alert: The successful encounter by the Indian Army's 'Trashi-I' operation in Jammu and Kashmir led to the killing of two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists on Sunday, i.e., February 22. The incident happened in the Kishtwar district's Passerkut in the Chatroo belt. The army personnel recovered two AK-47 rifles along with arms and ammunition. The officials conducted the operation after receiving security inputs from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Intelligence Bureau (IB), along with their own sources. This comes after the Delhi Police arrested 8 suspects in India, who have been allegedly linked to the planning of terror strikes against the country.
2 Jaish terrorists killed in encounter
According to PTI, the officials reported that both terrorists belong to Pakistan and belong to the Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group. They were seen hiding inside a house on a hill and started firing on the security forces as soon as they approached them. This led to the massive firing in the region, and two terrorists were killed. The operation was successful, as the officials recovered arms, ammunition, and two AK-47 rifles.
Operation 'Trashi-I'
The White Knights Corps on X reported that the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Intelligence Bureau, and its own intelligence sources had some security inputs that led to the successful operation named 'Trashi-I.'

It added that the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) "re-engaged the terrorists today at approximately 11:00 AM in challenging terrain."
It ended with a strong note: "The hunt continues those who seek to disturb peace will find no sanctuary. We Serve, We Protect."

Arrest of 8 terror suspects
Earlier today, the Delhi Police arrested eight individuals allegedly linked to the planning of terror strikes in the country. Out of the eight arrested individuals, six identified as Mohammad Shahid, Umar, Mohammad Litan, Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Shabat and Mohammed Ujjal were arrested from Tamil Nadu, and the other two from West Bengal.
The officials reported, "The operation followed an investigation into online posts supporting terror activities, which led the team to Tiruppur with the assistance of the local police. Investigators found that the six individuals were working in garment factories in the region and were carrying fake Aadhaar cards."
