Thane: A fire broke out in a warehouse in Thane district of Maharashtra during wee hours on Friday. Fire tenders were rushed to the spot to carry out the firefighting operations. No casualties have been reported in the incident that took place in Bhiwandi.
A short circuit is said to be the cause of fire. However, exact cause is yet to be ascertained. More details on the matter are awaited.
The incident comes a few hours after five persons, including four senior citizens, were killed in a major blaze that broke out at a high-rise in Tilak Nagar area of Mumbai’s Chembur. The flames were doused late on Thursday night and the search operation is currently underway.
Reports claim that a Christmas tree kept at the 10th floor of the building caught fire, which later spread to other floors. The 16-storey building is located in suburban Tilak Nagar.
