Mughal dynasty in India: These days the topic of Mughals and their rule and Mughal Dynasty are in vogue. The Mughal dynasty forms an integral and vital part of India’s medieval and modern history. The once glorious empire collapsed after the arrest and imprisonment of the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar. Now, it is confined to historical references and not much is known about the descendants of the once royal lineage.

She is not residing in any palace or mansion but in a confined tiny two-room hut in Howrah, on the outskirts of Kolkata, West Bengal. Just like millions of Indians, Sultana Begum is living life by the day, struggling to sustain a life full of personal hardships.

Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy is another gentleman who claims to be from the bloodline of the once mighty Mughals. Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy has declared himself as the sixth-generation heir of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal emperor. Thus he is consequentially related to great Mughal emperors like Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb. Prince Tucy has claimed rights to the Taj Mahal and the Ayodhya Ram Mandir site.

Till the last updates, he was living in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Prince Tucy created a lot of flutter when he claimed ownership of Agra’s Taj Mahal. He even filed a DNA report before a Hyderabad court to authenticate his claims which was reportedly admitted by the court. Thus, going by this decree, he is a Mughal.

Prince Tucy was in news again after he laid claim to the land in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh on which the Ram Mandir is built. Tucy challenged the Waqf board that had previously laid claim on the controversial property before the Supreme Court’s judgment. However, he said that he had no problem if the Ram Temple were to be built on the land. In fact, he even donated a golden brick for the temple.

According to the last information about him, Prince Tucy was the mutawalli (manager or custodian) and caretaker of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s grave in Maharashtra.

Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy’s public image is very much like that of a regal as he dons long, majestic robes and a cap that is very similar to the one worn by the Mughal emperors.
