The incident happened in Sirwariya village after an elderly man named Laxmi Shankar died on January 22 due to a prolonged illness. However, along with mentioning the date, place, time and cause of the death, Babulal accidentally concluded the certificate by wishing the deceased “a bright future” on the document. “Main inke ujjwal bhavishya ki kaamna karta hoon (I wish him a bright future),” the death certificate read.

After the certificate stormed up on social media on Monday, the village head apologised for the error and issued a new death certificate.
