New Delhi, Dec 14: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is projected to win 51 seats, while the Congress is likely to get 17 in Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017, according to exit poll results of Times Now-VMR. One seat may go to the independent candidate, said the Times Now-VMR exit poll results.

Polling for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 was held on November 9. The ruling Congress declared incumbent Chief Minister Virbhadhra Singh as its chief ministerial candidate, whereas the BJP nominated Prem Kumar Dhumal for the top post. Both the parties contested the election on all 68 seats of Himachal Pradesh Assembly.

Exit Poll Results For Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections 2017

In the 2012 elections to the 68-member assembly, the Congress won 36 seats, while the BJP bagged 26 seats. Six independents also won. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had won all the four parliamentary seats.
