New Delhi, Mar 27: It was a surprise morning for passengers as a New Delhi bound train was diverted to old Delhi Railway Station by mistake. After knowing about this incident, railway suspended log operator for the mistake. The log operator, who was identified as Aslam, got confused with the numbers of the two passenger trains — Panipat-New Delhi (64464) and Sonepat-Old Delhi (64004). And as result both trains reached Sadar Bazar railway station in Delhi at 7.38 am. However, once the mistake was noticed train was diverted back to New Delhi railway station. Such mistakes never happen in railways as their officials remember train routes and numbers very nicely.
