New Delhi: As many as seven devotees, including four women, were killed and 10 injured in a stampede on Sunday in Tamil Nadu’s Trichy at the Karuppasamy temple in Muthayampalayam village. When thousands of devotees reached out for the coins, a push and shove ensued leading to a stampede.

All the injured have been admitted to the Thuraiyur hospital and an investigation has been ordered into the incident.
