Former TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ahsan has said in an article in The Sunday Guardian that there has been a dangerous change in Pakistan’s policy once again. He has said that the growing close relationship between Kabul and New Delhi has frustrated Pakistan’s notorious agency ISI and the country’s government. Therefore, Pakistan has changed its strategy in Kashmir to achieve its geo-political objectives. He said that Pakistan has once again asked terrorist organizations, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, to again start terrorist activities in Kashmir.

Ehsanullah Ehsan has stated that Pakistan attempted to seek help from ISIS in Afghanistan to create unrest in Kashmir, but that strategy failed. As a result, Pakistan’s policymakers have become frustrated, forcing them to revert to their old strategy. He wrote in The Sunday Guardian that Pakistan has been trying to maintain its influence in Afghanistan for a long time. However, the Taliban rulers of Afghanistan will adopt an independent foreign policy, which Pakistan did not anticipate. Particularly, the Taliban’s close ties with India have rattled Pakistan, and it has begun to see this as a matter of concern for itself.

Pakistan’s new strategy for Kashmir

A former spokesperson of TTP has written that there have been several talks between the Taliban and India in recent months. The Taliban has expanded diplomatic, strategic, and business relations with India, which is a significant blow to Pakistan. Pakistan has started to feel that New Delhi’s influence is expanding again in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, after the abrogation of Article 370, Pakistan’s influence in Kashmir has significantly diminished. The Pakistani army and ISI have deep ties with ISIS and have called upon terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed to become active again in Kashmir. However, violent policies have had deadly consequences for Pakistan itself, but if Pakistan has reactivated its new strategy, it could lead to an increase in violence in Kashmir.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban, which has its base in Afghanistan, has revealed through its former spokesperson that Pakistan has waged a proxy war in collaboration with ISIS to spread chaos and unrest in Afghanistan.
