Delhi, July 2: Last night what happened at the Summer House bar in Delhi’s upscale Hauz Khas Village, has left many stunned, many elated and many many more heart broken. British rock band Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin, just appeared, as if out of nowhere (nobody even knew that he was in India!) and started performing in front of the pub hoppers in the bar!
As if that wasn’t insane enough, Freida Pinto was there too along with music composer Vishal Dadlani and also what seemed like the entire All India Bakchod team! Comedians Tanmay Bhatt, Rohan and Gursimran Khamba even introduced the singer onto the stage. Twitter handles of Vishal Dadlani and the AIB comedians tweeted pictures and videos. As the singer started performing some of the band’s greatest hits, the pleasurably stunned audience of the bar recovered from the initial shock and started singing along with Martin. Those fortunate few present at this ridiculously random gig, started clicking pictures and recording videos. By this morning, social media websites were buzzing with people sharing the pictures and videos of the ‘big spotting’! Twitter went berserk when the news started trickling out. Many expressed shock and even grief at having missed this opportunity to see their favourite singer perform. After some time when the news had actually sunk in, hilarity and puns became the order of the day on social media sites. Some of the choicest few are given below for your benefit.
