Guwahati, Dec 5: Two low intensity crude bombs exploded in the Fancy Bazaar Road at around 3:20 PM in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday. The bombs went off in a garbage dump. As per TV Reports, the bombs were planted in front of a sweet shop on a crowded road. Two critically injured has been rushed to nearby hospital. Several more have have been injured in the explosion. Police officers have reached the area and are investigating the source of the bombs. Early reports say that more casualties are expected. Although intelligence agencies are expecting terror terror strikes in the country, considering the nature of the bomb, this seems like the act of local rebels. Police suspect United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), a militant organisation to be the behind this attack. Further details are awaited in the incident. Delhi Police on Saturday morning had registered a First Information Report (FIR) suspecting a LeT terror attacks in Delhi and other cities in the country. Last month, intelligence agencies said that Pakistan’s ISI along with terror outfits in the country are planning to attack India again. Following the alerts, Centre had beefed up security in major cities of the country like Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Security has also been tightened at the border.
