Dantewada SP Abhishek Pallav told ANI, “They had come to install IEDs with the intention of executing a major operation. Earlier this week, three Naxals were killed in an encounter with troops of the 7th CRPF battalion in Jharkhand’s Giridih district. The district is about 185 km from state capital Ranchi.

The CRPF forces were carrying out a special operation in the forest area of Belbha Ghat when the encounter broke out. One CRPF jawan was also martyred in the attack.
