New Delhi: RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav‘s younger son Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday took to Twitter and blasted the ‘dictatorial BJP’ for stopping him from visiting his ailing father in the Ranchi Hospital. Convicted and jailed in multi-crore fodder scams, Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently undergoing treatment for a heart ailment in the Ranchi Hospital.
Reportedly, every Saturday, he is permitted to meet a maximum of three people in the hospital ward.
Speculating that the ‘dictatorial BJP’ is conspiring against his father, Tejashwi tweeted, “Two weeks ago, doctors asked the jail authorities to get Laluji’s ECO and X-RAY done, but it has not been done yet. They (prison authorities) reason that Laluji would need to be shifted to another building, for which they don’t have sufficient reinforcements…”
He also tweeted:
(Yesterday evening I went to the Ranchi Hospital to visit my father Lalu Prasad Yadav, but I was not allowed to see him… This is the dictatorial BJP’s plan… They are trying to keep a son away from his father. It is a conspiracy against Laluji, some raids are also being carried out in his room every day)
Lalu Prasad Yadav was convicted on December 23, 2017 in a case of fraudulent withdrawal from Deoghar treasury in Bihar. He was out on provisional bail in May last year for treatment but surrendered in August after the high court asked him to. The RJD chief has been convicted in four fodder scam cases and awarded 14-year jail term.
