New Delhi, Aug 28: An unclaimed bag, which was found on a seat of an Air India flight, triggered a bomb scare on Monday morning and sent security forces into a tizzy at Delhi Airport. The unattended bag was found in Air India’s flight AI-678 which was preparing to fly from Delhi to Mumbai. When no one turned up to own the bag, the cabin crew informed the ground staff. The suspicious bag then handed over to security forces.
However, the Air India rejected the reports of a bomb scare and said the flight was rescheduled. “The information is wrong. There is no bomb scare. AI-678’s scheduled time takeoff time is 9 am. The flight was rescheduled at 10 am. The flight departed at 10.20 am. 10 min delay was due to ATC,” read the Air India statement.
