Muzaffarnagar: A 25-year-old woman named as Parul was allegedly burnt to death by her husband and in-laws over dowry dispute at Nagla Jasoi village in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. The incident took place on Sunday.
However, she was declared dead at a hospital. According to a complaint filed by her father, Parul’s husband and in-laws had harassed her for failing to fulfil their demand for a private car in dowry.
Further, a case has been registered against her husband Vijay Kumar, father-in-law Vinod, mother-in-law Rekha and brother-in-law Chottu. According to police, all those who were accused are currently on the flee.
Parul got married to Vijay Kumar one-and-a-half years ago.
In another incident, two class 10 students were on Sunday burnt alive in an alleged clash over an affair with the same girl in Telangana’s Jagtiyal town, the police reported. The police suspect that the two boys, both 16 and under the influence of liquor, burned each other alive over an affair with the same girl. While one victim K. Mahender died on the spot, second victim Ravi Teja, who sustained critical injuries, succumbed in a hospital.
