New Delhi, June 9: Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad declared the UP Board Intermediate Class 12th Results 2017 and the UP Board High School Class 10th Result 2017 on Friday. The pass percentage has gone down at the levels as compared with last year. While the pass percentage in 2016 was 87.66 per cent and for Class 12th and 87.99 per cent for Class 10th, this year it has gone down to 82.5 per cent in Class 12th and 81.6 per cent in Class 10th. Fatehpur’s Tejasvi Devi and Priyanshi Tiwari have topped the class X and XII Board exams with 95.83 per cent and 96.20 per cent respectively.Also Read - UP Board Results 2017: Priyanshi Tiwari tops Class 12th with 96.2%, Class Xth topper Tejaswi Devi gets 95.83%

The much-awaited results were released on Friday on upresults.nic.in. With Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, this year the Board examination in the state was delayed. The results too were delayed not just because of the delay in examination, but also because of the delay in declaration of Central Board of Secondary Education Board results for Class 10th and 12th. This year, approximately 60 lakh students took the Uttar Pradesh board exams. While over 34 lakh students appeared for the Class 10th examination, over 26 lakh appeared for the Class 12th examination of the UP Board this year.
