Lucknow, June 9: The UP Board Intermediate Class 12th Results 2017 and the UP Board High School Class 10th Result 2017 were declared by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad on Friday. The results can be checked on upresults.nic.in. This year, Priyanshi Tiwari of Saraswati Bal Mandir Inter College has topped Class 12 board exams with 96.20 per cent whereas, Tejaswi Devi aced the class 10th exams with 95.83 per cent.Also Read - UP Board Results 2018: Answer Sheets of Class 10, 12 Toppers to be Put on Display; Check on upresults.nic.in

Earlier in 2016, the UP Board class 12 exam was topped by Sakshi Verma of Maharani Laxmi Bai Memorial Inter College in Barabanki emerged as the topper with 98.20 per cent followed by Pratima Singh and Sonali Verma of the same institution, who scored 98 per cent to become the second toppers. Class 10th exam of the UP Board was aced by Saumya Patel of Rae Bareli who had scored 98.67 per cent. This year’s pass percentage stands at 81.6 per cent for Class 10, and 82.5 per cent for Class 12 whereas, in 2016, the overall pass percentage for class 10 was 87.66 per cent, while class 12 pass percentage stood at  87.99 per cent. The UP Board had announced the results for class 12th and 10th on May 15 last year.

This year, approximately 60 lakh students took the Uttar Pradesh board exams out of which, over 34 lakh students appeared for the Class 10th examination whereas, over 26 lakh appeared for the Class 12th examination.
